We do pack things very carefully. But broken glass could damage a photograph.
Glass is easy to replace the photograph is not. If you don't want the glass or the frame it all just let us know.
Not sure if this is a cabinet card or an early photograph as it is glued to the backing. It's been behind the glass for many years. The photograph itself does have some damage to it in terms of tears and we assume that's why someone in the family glued it to the card inside the frame. It's a wonderful picture catching a beautiful moment of companionship between a boy and his dog. We do not know the age of the print / photograph - but it appears based on the way the child is dressed to be from around the turn of the last century.
We guess 1907, but if you are more of an expert in terms of children's clothing styles, please let us know.
