Sublime Victorian 1860 Antique Restored Bordeaux Leather Chesterfield Armchair
Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this absolutely sublime fully restored Boudreaux leather Chesterfield tufted library armchair with original porcelain castors. This is one of the most comfortable armchairs I have ever sat it, it is a large person's chair, it has loads of room around the back and sides, a real library reading or take a nap chair. Chesterfield tufted the back and arms with Thomas Chippendale floating buttons to the top of the arms, it has a walnut frame with turned feet finished with the original oversized porcelain castors.
This armchair is a real winner on so many levels, the colour is sublime, really first class, the comfortable is second to note and the style is to die for, this chair will look expensive and important in any setting. It has been fully restored to include having the leather stripped back and hand dyed this Boudreaux reddish brown colour, the legs have been washed back stained and French polished. There will be some age and use related patina marks to the timber, otherwise its an exceptionally fine example. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
