Fully Restored Antique Victorian Library Armchair Mulberry Velvet Upholstery
Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this super rare, fully restored William & Mary style, Antique Victorian Chesterfield armchair upholstered with Mulberry aqua green velvet upholstery. This chair has been on a journey, it came to me in dyer need of restoration, as its such a rare chair with such a unique base I have taken it through a no expense spared restoration process, the work completed has been as follows. The base frame has had various timber repairs, the wood has been stripped back and traditionally French polished, the castors have all been replaced with the correct size porcelain. The upholstery stripped back, the chair repadded using the original horse hair and new padding were required, the coil sprung base rewebbed and tied using the original springs, the chair has then been upholstered in aqua green Mulberry velvet. This chair is pure quality, it looks expensive and important in any setting and seats wonderfully.
