Antique Victorian Needlepoint & Glass Beadwork Pillow, 3 Children and Dog, 1870
For you today is a beautifully hand made folk art decorative pillow. The center is in a fine needlepoint scene three children a pet dog, the girl on the right is holding what looks like a doll. The scene is framed in white, tan and brown glass beads with a trim in steet and brass beads. The sides of the pillow have a brade in burgundy, rose and white, attached to the brade are clear glass beads in a loup design framing the pillow, the back is in red cotton.
Not because it mine but I have to say its one of the best Victorian beaded needlepoint pillows that I have seen in many years. This pillow is all original and has spent most of it life in a curio cabinet, which is the reason for its immaculate condition. Dates around 1870, possibly English or French.9" wide x 7" deep.
