Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of Antique Victorian, hand carved solid oak & leather throne armchairs with original porcelain castors. A very good looking and well made pair, these are quite rare in the sense that they have coil sprung front edges, this is a lot more expensive to have commission than a traditional solid front edge seat, it offers a much more comfortable seat. The frames are very nicely carved, the legs are especially nice and in the Gillows of Lancaster style. The top rail is again heavily carved and very decorative indeed. Condition wise, we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished them from top to bottom, the leather upholstery is quite modern and as such is in fine order, the frames have a wonderful period patina throughout.
